Равный, соответствующий, тождественный. Адекватное познание – познание, которое точно отображает все наиболее существенные признаки предмета или явления.
Adequate
In the theory of knowledge, images and knowledge which correspond to the original object and are therefore authentic. The problem of the degree of adequacy—that is, the exactness, profundity, and fullness of reflection—and the process of obtaining the most adequate knowledge is connected with the problem of the correlation between relative and absolute truth and with the criterion of true knowledge.
Адекватное
(От лат. adaequatus - приравненный, равный) соответствующее, соразмерное, согласующееся, верное, точное. В теории познания термин «А.» служит для обозначения верного воспроизведения в представлениях, понятиях и суждениях объективных связей и отношений. В этом смысле Истина определяется как адекватность мышления бытию.
